Bridging The Gender
Gap in Tech

Did you know that only 26% of computing related
jobs are held by women?

The lack of women representation is also seen in
frontier technical roles that includes roles in

within Data and AI.

After securing the Jenga scholarship, I have learnt skills and tools that have greatly impacted my career. It unlocked my creativity in business intelligence to generate predictions and determine which data is the most relevant to my team. My skills are increasingly useful and transferrable and I always look forward to automating as many processes as possible. One thing I’ve learnt is, employing fancy techniques is cool but working on the fundamentals that the business actually needs is cooler.

Receiving the Hopper Dean Scholarship to study Data Science and AI at JENGA School was very humbling for me. Right after I started the course, i was able access a community of like-minded people and i even got a new job as a result of the Data Analysis skills I had acquired. The greatest win has been the constant development I see in myself as I learn to push myself to the edge in every class and industry lecture. I have also learned to take initiative to do things I didn’t think I was capable of and be more confident in my showcasing my skills.
